The holiest place for pilgrims in Eastern Slavic countries, immense Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is a place with a special spirit. You get this feeling once you enter its gate.
We fully explore Lavra during our Pechersk Walking Tour – caves, monasteries, churches, belltowers and unique museums.
Gold-domed churches are catching eyes with its beauty, especially now, in winter, being covered with snow.
Take a walk around the churches and monasteries, enter some of them to see the richness of interior or visit the caves of monks.
If you want to be fully introduced to the Lavra, you might spend half a day there, or even tho whole one.
How to get to Lavra: Metro Arsenalna (red line+the deepest metro station in the world), then take trolleybus №38, but it is preferrable to take a walk
TIP! Come to Lavra after 8 p.m. It is the time the entrance officially closes which means you will not have to buy a ticket, but you will still be able to enter. Not everyone knows it and there are not many people there at this time. You’ll get a better feeling of a place. After 10 p.m. you might find out that there is just you there and monks – strolling their way between churches and monasteries.
