Being a private guide in Kyiv does not mean just to spend a couple of hours on a walking tour. It’s a serious management job. One of the guide’s tasks is politely answering guest’s questions.
Not to turn myself into Info-point or Ms. Google, I decided to gather the most popular questions about Kyiv at one place. Something I can send to my guests even before they think about asking a question.
So here you go – from “is Kyiv safe” to “can I marry 2 girls in Kyiv”. Ain’t no joke.
The idea of Awesome Kyiv started from this project. 2 years ago, when graduating from University, I was working on my diploma project for TV Journalism Department.
May 2016 was a time when I fully fall in love with my city. I did my first walking tour only to have heroes for my film. I did not know my small project would turn into big passion.
Now, turning back to that time, I always remember it with gratitude. The story of a big love between a human being and a city.

– I feel like I am stuck here. And I cannot do anything about it, – that’s what this foreign guy living in Kyiv said to me.
– But “stuck” is probably not the best word to describe the way of life, is it? – I asked him.
So you already bought your tickets to Kyiv? Ah man, return them. I have bad news for you: there is nothing to do here. And I will clearly explain why.
When you wake up in the morning, look out of the window and see that…that you see nothing, because there is such a thick fog, then visiting a botanical garden can be a good idea. That’s what I did today, and, to be honest, I did not really want to come back to civilization after I got lost in the magical forest. But I had to…to share this magic with you.
