Poshtova Square
One of the best months to come to Kyiv is definitely May. The weather is fabulous, the nights are warm and the air is full of love.
Poshtova Square
Poshtova Square has become one of the favorite places of the locals. Easy accessible from Kontraktova Square and from Maidan, it is located in the heart of the city and is perfect for any occasions: for watching sunrises and sunsets, morning and evening walk, prom celebration or just chilling after a long working day.
During XIX century it has another name – Christmas Square, because of the Christmas Church (distroyed in the USSR time and restored in 2003).
Here was Kyiv so-called railway station. Here was the post office and the roads were going from this square, the stagecoaches were delivering post and passengers into different parts of the country.
Now Poshtova Square is the place of meeting for many locals, one of the main tourist destination and just one of the best places for relaxing. From there you can easily get to Trukhaniv Island by Pedestrian Bridge.
Use the funicular to get to Poshtova Square from Mykhailivska Square or take a metro from Maidan Nezalezhnosti and get off on the next stop.
